The design and operation of the V-belt
The V-belt transmission is extremely simple in design. The belt is an element with a trapezoidal cross-section that consists of a supporting layer (i.e. steel and reinforced materials resistant to tearing), an elastic layer (here the main component is rubber or rubber) and a fabric-rubber layer that surrounds the entire element. Newer cars already have a poly-V-belt. This is an element whose surface is completely adjacent to the pulleys. Thus, it works longer, quieter and more efficient. However, remember that the belt is an expendable part, which is subject to wear and tear. Services suggest replacing them after mileage of 30,000 km to a maximum of 4 years!
